New Year's Eve

The kids have a tradition of sleeping under the Christmas tree on New Year's Eve. Cassidy and Seth actually stayed up till midnight and banged pots and pans out the back door this year.

Merry Christmas!

We had a good Christmas. It snowed and snowed all day long. So we enjoyed the day all together by the fire, playing with all our new toys. Here's Micah, at great grandma's house on Christmas night.

Christmas Eve

We had the family over for Christmas Eve and to celebrate Mom's bday also. We ate a yummy dinner, then had the kids dress up to act out the nativity. Jonah was the donkey (LOL... no comments, please!)

Our Christmas Presents

We decided to make homemade gifts this year, so Tom cut these boards and I burned on the design. I actually saw them here and we figured they were easy enough to make ourselves. They turned out really nice, if I do say so myself. I was excited to give them away!

We had to run to the shop to print out a few things (my stupid printer is NOT cooperating at home), so the kids hung out in the showroom for a bit.

Andrew fell asleep after church today. It was cold, but we had the fire going. He was nice and toasty warm laying on the floor next to the fireplace.

Second Cousins

We had a get together with all the second cousins (my cousins' kids). All total, there are 39 second cousins. Some live too far away to come to the party, and some couldn't make it. We had 19 of them at our house for the party. My step grandma came and read a story to the kids, then passed out their Christmas presents and treats. Then we made shrinky-dink ornaments and played a game. We ended the party with doughtnuts and hot cocoa.

Mothers' Group Christmas Party

We got together with some mommies from my ward and had our little Christmas party this afternoon. The kids decorated little wooden ornaments and played some fun games.

Here's Andrew playing the game. While the music was playing, they had to dance around the room. As soon as the music stopped, they had to stand on a number and freeze. Andrew got the freezing part down, here he is "freezing". (the music is actually still playing at this point though, it was just too funny watching him anticipate when it would stop!)

Of course, Janessa loved the dancing part.

It seems like the best time to goof around with Dad is at bedtime. Yep, right about the time I need to get the kids calmed down, Tom decides it's time to play.

Tom takes the kids swimming on Saturdays. I usually keep Andrew at home, but this time I came along and let Andrew swim for awhile. He didn't like it at first, but he was splashing around and going down the slide in no time.

Christmas Show

Cassidy and Janessa danced in their Christmas Show tonight. Cass did 2 dance numbers, and 1 tumbling routine. Janessa danced to Frosty the Snowman. I asked them to pose and smile for me, and they both gave me attitude. LOL
