It's so hard to get a good group shot. This was the last one, when Andrew had decided he had had enough so he was getting up, using Janessa as leverage. Jonah was acting all scared and Seth and Cassidy were just being plain silly.

Sleepless

Jonah just came walking in and told me that he can't sleep. He said he was having "scary thoughts" :(. I talked to him and his eyes got all teary, he was really upset because he didn't want to fall asleep and have bad dreams. So I told him he could stay up for a little bit. Then I realized I didn't get a picture today so he's The One. A little blurry, but you can sort of see the tears in his eyes. He said that taking his picture takes away the scariness. :) I love my little man.

Mom's Day Off

I'm embarrassed to post these, but I'm going to any way. I was gone all morning and most of the afternoon today, I left Tom in charge, and all he did was sit on the couch and watch tv. The kids made their own lunch, got snacks, colored pictures, did puzzles, had ice cream with chocolate sauce (see bottom pic!), and left a huge mess. I said to him that these pictures PROVE that I don't sit on my butt and watch soap operas all day long. Otherwise the house would look like this (actually worse than this) every day. It's a constant battle to keep things clean with 5 kids, and all he had was a 6 hour taste of it. Wimp. I am not cleaning this up. No way. No how.

Post-Op

Andrew did so well today. He slowly woke up out of the anesthesia, and only whimpered a little bit. I held him for about an hour, then the nurse brought him in a sippy cup of juice and a popsicle. It totally made his day. It even distracted him enough from touching the pulse/ox monitor and his blood pressure cuff. :)

Tom took the boys for awhile and left the girls at home. Cassidy and Janessa danced and goofed around a little bit. Then we watched American Gladiators. LOL

What do you do when you have the kids strip their beds in the morning, but the day goes by so fast that you don't get around to making the beds before bedtime??? Slumber party, of course! The kids love it, and it gives me one more day to put the sheets on. ;)

More Snow

Ugh! This is what we woke up to this morning..... I am so sick of the snow already. I had to put on 3 pics because I couldn't believe how much there was.

It blew so much that I can barely see out the windows.

My neices and nephew have been here this weekend (Friday night till Sunday night) while my brother and SIL visit her dad in Texas.

Major blizzard, dangerous driving conditions, and freezing temperatures, but the schools are STILL OPEN!!! So we took our own snow day and kept the kids home from school. ;) They wanted to go to an indoor fun center and play.
